Principal features of the work include the replacement of mechanical bar screens, a raw sewage submersible pump, and the installation of new mechanical washers and compactors at the wastewater treatment plant. Additionally, the existing headworks structure are to be taken out of service utilizing by-pass pumping techniques and the structural concrete surfaces are to be repaired and coated with specialized protective coating materials and methods.
